CRM® Working With Parts, From the Heart is open to all healing practitioners. No clinical license or formal mental health background is required.
CRM® Prerequisite: No prior CRM® training is required for Parts From the Heart.
About the Training
Parts From the Heart is a nine-day, three-part CRM® training series focused on advanced case conceptualization and relational work with parts. Across three weekends, the training moves from understanding dissociation, parts and heart-centered relationality, through Mapping, and into increasingly complex parts presentations, internal cooperation and preparation for trauma processing.
Introduction
“Parts From the Heart” is a three-weekend learning path, with three training days per weekend (nine days total). It is offered as a complete series, with the option of taking individual parts depending on the therapist’s intuition and the clinical needs arising within their overall client work.
Within the CRM paradigm, case conceptualization is paramount to developing a clear path for understanding and working with the trajectory and weight of each aspect of a client’s history. By the very nature of being human, life events, intolerable emotional and physical pain, and the internal landscape of self-parts can catalyze fragmentation and separation from the experience of Self as whole. The tapestry woven from these experiences requires a multidimensional relationship developed within and between the many facets of a person’s survival architecture, facilitated through the heart and attunement of the therapist.
These parts of self are sourced from, live through, and breathe from the heart: the physical heart organ; the “heart of the matter”; the heart of the Soul’s journey; the heart of pain; heartbreak that breaks open the heart; and the heart that holds the fundamental Being-ness of Love within each and every living creature, regardless of suffering.
This course is designed for the therapist—and subsequently the client—to understand and enter into a ruthless, compassionate relationship that catalyzes co-consciousness, internal cooperation and internal communication (the 3 Cs). This relationship is grounded in genuine attunement, higher principles, and a nuanced understanding of the essence of being human while traversing very difficult terrain, often blindfolded by dissociation, hidden motives, secret desires and separation from powers and wisdom higher than ourselves.
The ability to case conceptualize the human sitting in front of us—as well as the parts sitting in the background, often unseen—is an imperative aspect of the heart of the healing work. This nine-day progressive training provides an expanded view and practical processes for addressing the vastness of a human Being, as well as the micro-level ways our Being expresses its needs, pain and desires.
This training moves beyond a two- or three-dimensional view of managing parts toward a customized, case-conceptualized, heart-centered paradigm of relationality and skill that heals ALL parts, From the Heart.
Part One:
Psychoeducation for the client
Nuanced diagnosis and presentations that may mask typical DSM diagnostic criteria
Neurobiology of dissociation
Therapist embodiment, health and clear attunement
Therapist fears, unresolved trauma triggers and unconscious reactions within the therapeutic relationship
Nuanced history-taking
The holographic/fractal nature of parts and their relationship to Choosing to Choose, Intention and sovereignty
Ruthless Relationality
Developing heart-centered relationships with different types of parts
Relationship and communication styles with parts
Clarifying root parts, defense-response chains and clusters of parts
Part Two:
Mapping, Mapping, Mapping - All Things Mapping
What, when, why and how
What to do with the Map and information gleaned from it
Mapping approaches for severe dissociation versus clients without a dissociative diagnosis
Overt, formal, big-picture Mapping
Covert, informal, symptom-specific Mapping
Part Three:
Developing the 3 Cs when blocks, obstacles and paradoxes are present
Conceptualizing and relating to perpetrator parts
Working with dangerous parts that refuse to stop doing their job
“Flipping” perpetrator, victim and failed-rescuer parts into beneficial Resources
Expanding awareness and care for “Other” within and outside the system
Suicidality, self-injury, secrets and The One that Knows All
Preparing the system for trauma processing and post-session resourcing
Staying on track across sessions
