This training addresses some of the most persistent and treatment-limiting dynamics encountered in trauma therapy. Shame, distorted power, and over-identification with victimhood often function as unconscious blocks in treatment—maintaining symptoms, reinforcing helplessness, and preventing clients from accessing choice, agency, and self-directed healing. At their core, these patterns reflect a profound misalignment with one’s Self.

This training supports clinicians in identifying how power can become inverted—expressed through powerlessness, collapse, or moralized suffering—and how these dynamics subtly organize identity, relationships, and symptoms. Participants will learn to recognize when victim stance is serving as a protective adaptation rather than a lived truth, and how to work skillfully with these patterns without shaming, rescuing, or reinforcing them.

Through didactic teaching, clinical examples, and experiential exploration, clinicians will develop greater precision and confidence in helping clients reclaim healthy power, self-responsibility, and free-will choice. The training emphasizes restoring alignment with the Self as the foundation for sustainable healing, integration, and forward movement in both clinical work and life.
